VW cars divulges sporty Vw Polo Vivo GT
We'd be rich if we were gifted a rand for each time VW cars unveiled a sporty special edition of its previous Citi Golf range, but it was a wzor that worked well and we've been wondering why VW cars creatives haven't yet tinkered with Vw cars latest entry-level offering, the Vw Polo Vivo. The Vw Polo Vivo GT will also have anti-lock brakes, power windows, radio/CD with
four speakers, theft alarm and central locking with remote-controlled activation - just like the plain 1.6. So to set itself apart from its siblings the GT will have GT badges on its grille and boot door, a spoiler and chromed twin exhausts.
To perk up the style, and road holding, VW cars has lowered the suspension and thrown in a set of 15-inch 'Cordoba' alloy wheels, with further visual bling added by the rear spoiler, Vw cars also chromed twin exhaust pipes and the Vw Polo Vivo GT decals on the side of the vehicle.
Polo Vivo is a unique Volkswagen SA offering (as was Citi) that has been created with the aim of again providing "affordable and accessible mobility" to the South African market.
The "Polo Vivo is built up of parts, 70% provided by local suppliers. The localisation
of parts for both the Polo Vivo and the New Polo (launched in January) has resulted in the creation of hundreds of jobs and the establishment of a vast Supplier Park in Uitenhage. The name Vivo has strong South African resonance
and is easy to remember and pronounce
